West Germany long-sleeve away shirt, worn at Euro 88 and Italia ’90 where Brehme’s penalty crowned them World Champions. A rare retro classic.

This is the fully-customizable long-sleeve away kit for the West Germany Euro 1988 & World Cup 1990 Campaigns.

West Germany hosted the 1988 Euro and also won the 1990 World Cup in Italy in this classic green away jersey.

In 1988, the team had high expectations. Some of the names to wear this jersey include the former USA manager and an incredible goalscorer with 47 international goals for West Germany and Germany, Jurgen Klinsmann, the current Leverkusen sporting director known for his constant refusal to sell players to Bayern, Rudi Völler, Kaiserslautern legend, Andreas Brehme, the team captain and their best player Lothar Matthäus, and many other co-stars.

This was the last Euro for West Germany alone, as the team was united in the following one. The team topped the group over Italy, Spain, and Denmark, mostly thanks to goals from Jurgen Klinsmann. However, the West Germans fell to the Dutch when Marco van Basten, one of the best strikers of his generation and ever, scored the winner for the Netherlands in 88th minute to make it 2-1, and lead the Netherlands to the final where they beat Soviet Union 2-0.

In the 1990 World Cup, it was another story. They started flying, beating Yugoslavia and the UAE with 9 goals in their first two matches, before drawing to Colombia in their last group match. In the Round of 16, they got the Netherlands, a star-studded team that won Euro 1988. Germany won that match in Milan 2-1, right before beating Yugoslavia 1-0 in the Quarter-finals. In the semis, they had to go through penalties to overcome England, who are still haunted by their penalties experience against Germans who never, ever lost a penalty shootout. In the final, they got the cream of the crop, Maradona’s Argentina. The Germans created a special tactic for the Argentine legend, making him ineffective and upsetting him as the match advanced. They won the match 1-0 with an 85th-minute penalty scored by Andreas Brehme, making them World Champions for the third time.

Notable Players: Lothar Matthäus, Rudi Völler, Andreas Brehme, Pierre Littbarski, Frank Mill, Jürgen Klinsmann, Matthias Herget

Relive Euro ’92 with Scotland’s home shirt, worn as McAllister and Durie led the side in Sweden before bowing out in the group stage.

This is the fully-customizable short-sleeve home kit for Scotland’s 1991-1994 period.

After a tumultuous 1990 World Cup campaign in which they were expected to make an impact but were knocked out in the group stage, the Scots came back stronger. This shirt was worn in their qualifying campaign for Euro 1992, and also in the main competition itself.

And what a qualifying campaign it was. Scotland was drawn against superpower Romania and also Bulgaria, and they duly delivered. They qualified very narrowly after a 1-0 loss away to Romania, by a distance of only 1 point. That 1 point distance was decided on the last day of the campaign, with a draw between Romania and Bulgaria and a Scotland win.

In Euro 1992, the team came in strong but failed to make a great impact. They played great football, but two losses in their first 2 games – against the Netherlands and Germany – were enough to kick them out. A consolation win against the CIS (the consolidated Soviet Union team) was of little use as they ended up 1 point short of advancing to the knockout stage.

Notable Players: Gordon Durie, Duncan Ferguson, Brian McClair, Ally McCoist, Garry McAllister, Stuart McCall, Paul McStay, Pat Nevin, Derek Whyte, Stewart McKimmie, Dave McPherson, Maurica Malpas, Richard Gough, Andy Goram

Own Portugal’s 2015–16 away kit, worn by Ronaldo and Pepe in qualifiers leading up to their Euro 2016 title run.

This is the fully-customizable short-sleeve away kit for Portugal’s 2015-2016 period.

During the 2015-2016 period, Portugal’s national team demonstrated a mix of promising performances and challenging matches, setting the stage for their historic Euro 2016 victory. While this summary excludes their triumph in the Euro 2016 tournament, it covers the crucial buildup and qualifiers that defined their form leading into the championship.

Portugal’s journey began with the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers, where they were placed in Group I. Under the guidance of coach Fernando Santos, Portugal showcased resilience and tactical acumen. They secured a critical 2-1 victory over Serbia on March 29, 2015, with goals from Ricardo Carvalho and Fábio Coentrão. This win was followed by a hard-fought 3-2 triumph against Armenia on June 13, 2015, highlighted by Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick.

The team’s defensive solidity was evident in their narrow 1-0 win over Albania on September 7, 2015, thanks to a late goal by Miguel Veloso. Portugal continued their strong form with a 1-0 victory over Denmark on October 8, 2015, with João Moutinho scoring the decisive goal. They concluded their qualification campaign with another 2-1 win against Serbia on October 11, 2015, securing their spot in Euro 2016.

In friendly matches, Portugal’s performances were mixed. They suffered a surprising 0-2 defeat to Cape Verde on March 31, 2015, but bounced back with a notable 1-0 victory against Italy on June 16, 2015, with Éder scoring the winner. A narrow 0-1 loss to France on September 4, 2015, was followed by another 0-1 defeat to Russia on November 14, 2015. However, Portugal ended the year on a high note with a 2-0 victory over Luxembourg on November 17, 2015.

The friendlies in 2016 provided a platform for further experimentation and fine-tuning. Portugal lost 0-1 to Bulgaria on March 25, 2016, but managed a significant 2-1 win over Belgium on March 29, 2016, with goals from Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo. The team continued to build momentum with a commanding 3-0 victory over Norway on May 29, 2016, and a 7-0 demolition of Estonia on June 8, 2016, which included a brace from Ricardo Quaresma and a standout performance from Ronaldo.

Despite a 0-1 loss to England on June 2, 2016, Portugal’s overall performance during this period reflected a team growing in confidence and cohesion. The blend of experienced veterans and emerging talents positioned Portugal as a formidable force, setting the stage for their eventual success in Euro 2016.

Notable Players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, João Moutinho, Pepe, Fábio Coentrão, Bruno Alves, Ricardo Quaresma, João Pereira, Ricardo Carvalho, Éder, Miguel Veloso, André Gomes, Renato Sanches, William Carvalho, Raphael Guerreiro.

Step back to the 2014 World Cup with Portugal’s home shirt, worn by Ronaldo and Pepe as the team exited early in Brazil.

This is the fully-customizable short-sleeve home kit for Portugal’s 2014 World Cup Campaign.

Portugal entered the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil with high hopes, bolstered by their star-studded squad led by captain Cristiano Ronaldo. Placed in Group G, alongside Germany, the United States, and Ghana, Portugal faced a challenging group stage. Their journey in the tournament, however, was marked by mixed performances and ultimately ended in disappointment.

Portugal’s campaign began on June 16th with a daunting match against Germany in Salvador. The game quickly turned disastrous for Portugal. Germany scored early through a Thomas Müller penalty and continued to dominate, with Portugal’s Pepe receiving a red card in the 37th minute for an altercation with Müller. The match ended in a crushing 4-0 defeat, leaving Portugal with a significant goal deficit to overcome.

In their second group stage match on June 22nd, Portugal faced the United States in Manaus. This game proved to be a dramatic and hard-fought encounter. Portugal took an early lead with a goal from Nani, but the United States responded with two goals, putting Portugal on the brink of elimination. In the dying moments of the match, Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a precise cross, allowing Silvestre Varela to score a last-gasp equalizer, salvaging a 2-2 draw and keeping Portugal’s hopes alive.

The final group stage match took place on June 26th against Ghana in Brasília. Portugal needed a substantial win to have any chance of advancing to the knockout stage. Despite goals from John Boye (own goal) and Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal’s 2-1 victory was insufficient to overcome the goal difference. The combined results of the group left Portugal in third place, level on points with the United States but with an inferior goal difference, thus failing to progress to the Round of 16.

The 2014 World Cup was a challenging tournament for Portugal, highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses of the team. Cristiano Ronaldo, despite being hampered by injuries, showcased his leadership and talent, while other key players like Nani and João Moutinho provided crucial contributions. However, the team’s defensive frailties and lack of depth were evident, and the early red card and injury setbacks further complicated their campaign.

Overall, Portugal’s performance in the 2014 World Cup was a tale of missed opportunities and unfortunate circumstances. The early exit was a significant disappointment for a squad with such potential, and it underscored the need for a more balanced and resilient approach in future international competitions.

Notable Players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, João Moutinho, Pepe, Fábio Coentrão, Bruno Alves, Raul Meireles, João Pereira, Hugo Almeida, Silvestre Varela, Eder, Ricardo Costa, Miguel Veloso, André Almeida, William Carvalho.

Euro 2012 long-sleeve Portugal kit, worn by Ronaldo and Pepe in the semi-final penalty heartbreak vs Spain.

This is the fully-customizable long-sleeve home kit for Portugal’s 2012 Campaign.

Euro 2012 in Poland & Ukraine was one of the best-ever, and Portugal’s team went very far in it, only losing on penalties against eventual winners Spain in the semi-finals.

The Portuguese team was already special, as it had many players which would go on to win Euro 2016. Portugal started slowly, though, as they lost their opening group match against Germany by the score of 1-0. After that, they beat both Netherlands and Denmark in order to advance to the Quarter-finals. In the quarters, they encountered the Czech Republic, whom they disposed of easily through a Ronaldo goal in the 79th minute. In the Semi-finals, the Portuguese lost the penalty lottery after a very highly-contested match against eventual champions and neighbours Spain. And we all remember Ronaldo’s bitterness in this shirt at the end of the match, right after the penalties, as he felt the team merited to go through into the final.

Notable Players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Quaresma, Hugo Almeida, João Moutinho, Fábio Coentrão, Pepe, Miguel Veloso, Raul Meireles

Celebrate France’s Euro 1992 long-sleeve shirt, led by Papin & Cantona. A story of hope and heartbreak as they fell to Denmark. Classic retro kit.

This is the fully-customizable long-sleeve home kit for the France 1990-1992 period.

Throughout this period, France was perhaps in their biggest historical rut ever. With a team that was just not good enough, they failed to qualify for the 1990 World Cup.

However, they did qualify for Euro 1992, held in Sweden. The French national team arrived with high hopes and a formidable squad under the management of Michel Platini. The team was brimming with talent and experience, featuring players from top European clubs. However, despite their potential and the anticipation surrounding them, France’s campaign ended in disappointment as they were eliminated in the group stage, a stark contrast to the pre-tournament expectations.

France was drawn into Group A alongside England, Denmark, and host nation Sweden. Their campaign began with a match against Sweden on June 10, 1992. Despite controlling much of the game, France could only manage a 1-1 draw, with Jean-Pierre Papin equalizing after Jan Eriksson’s opener for Sweden. This match set the tone for a tournament where France struggled to convert their dominance into victories.

The second group match on June 14 saw France face England in a highly anticipated encounter. Both teams played cautiously, resulting in a goalless draw. France’s inability to break down the English defense highlighted their struggles in the final third, an issue that plagued them throughout the tournament.

The decisive match came on June 17 against Denmark. France needed only a draw to advance to the semi-finals, and their hopes were buoyed when Jean-Pierre Papin scored to level the match at 1-1 after Henrik Larsen’s early goal. However, a defensive lapse allowed Lars Elstrup to score a late winner for Denmark, sealing a 2-1 victory and eliminating France from the tournament. This result was particularly bitter given that Denmark had only been invited to the tournament following Yugoslavia’s disqualification.

The aftermath of the tournament saw significant criticism of France’s inability to translate their individual talent into cohesive team performances. The defensive errors and lack of attacking potency were seen as primary reasons for their early exit. Despite the disappointment, the tournament provided valuable lessons and experience for a squad that would go on to achieve greater successes in the following years.

Notable Players: Bruno Martini, Manuel Amoros, Franck Silvestre, Emmanuel Petit, Laurent Blanc, Bernard Casoni, Didier Deschamps, Franck Sauzée, Jean-Pierre Papin, Luis Fernandez, Christian Perez, Christophe Cocard, Basile Boli, Jean-Philippe Durand, Eric Cantona.
