Description

This is the fully-customizable short-sleeve away kit for Italy’s 1994 World Cup campaign.

Italy traveled to the 1994 World Cup in the USA with a questionable squad. The team barely scraped through the group stage, where all four teams had 4 points each, and Italy was third in the group due to the goal difference.

After barely qualifying to the round of 16, Roberto Baggio bagged in two goals against Nigeria, first in the 89th minute to tie the match, and the second one from the penalty in 101st minute to win it for Italy. The quarter-finals saw them face Spain who had, amongst others, Guardiola, Hierro, and Lopetegui in their squad. Two Baggio goals sealed the deal for Italy, as both Dino and Roberto Baggio scored, with Roberto’s goal coming again late in the game, this time in the 88th minute for the win.

Roberto Baggio was merciless, and when the draw got them Sweden in the semis, he knew what to do. Baggio scored a brace again to see Italy through to the final where Brazil awaited, and after a boring 0-0 draw, the game went to penalties. Then Roberto Baggio produced one of the most tragic moments in football’s history by missing the last penalty in the shootout and giving Brazil the win. This jersey represents Italian pride and fighting spirit which saw them crumble their way to the final and tragically losing it on penalties. We also have the Italy 1994 Home shirt in our store.

It all started when we were around 5 or 6 years old…
