The 1995-1996 season wasn’t extremely successful by Internazionale’s high standards, but it nevertheless provided some top entertainment in the golden age of Serie A.

Before the season started, the club bought some very high-profile players. Two of them were Paul Ince – from Manchester United – as well as Roberto Carlos – from Palmeiras. Both were very high-rated and were expected to bring high returns. However, the best signing came in none other than Javier Zanetti from Banfield, who became a club legend afterward. The club also sold Bergkamp to Arsenal.

They’ve also participated in the Europe Cup, only making it to the first round. Moreover, they lost in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
