This is the fully-customizable short-sleeve away kit for Mexico’s 2006 World Cup campaign.
The 2006 FIFA World Cup saw Mexico, under the guidance of Argentine coach Ricardo La Volpe, showcasing their talents in Germany. Sporting their traditional green jerseys, the Mexican squad aimed to make a significant impact on the world stage. Placed in Group D alongside Portugal, Angola, and Iran, Mexico’s journey was marked by spirited performances and tactical battles.
Mexico’s campaign began on June 11, 2006, against Iran at the Frankenstadion in Nuremberg. With a strong start, Mexico secured a 3-1 victory. Omar Bravo scored twice, and Sinha added a third, ensuring Mexico’s first three points of the tournament. The team’s dynamic attacking play and solid defense were on full display, giving fans hope for a successful run.
Their second match on June 16 against Angola ended in a goalless draw. Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, Mexico couldn’t find the back of the net. This match highlighted some concerns about their finishing abilities, but it also showcased their resilience and defensive strength, with goalkeeper Oswaldo Sánchez making crucial saves to keep a clean sheet.
The final group stage match took place on June 21 against Portugal at the Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen. Mexico faced a formidable opponent and went down early to goals from Maniche and a penalty by Simão. However, Francisco Fonseca pulled one back for Mexico in the 29th minute. Despite a valiant effort, Mexico couldn’t equalize, losing 2-1. This result placed them second in the group, advancing to the knockout stages.
In the Round of 16, Mexico faced a formidable Argentine team on June 24 at the Zentralstadion in Leipzig. The match started promisingly for Mexico, with captain Rafael Márquez scoring an early goal in the 6th minute. However, Argentina equalized shortly after, and the game went into extra time. A stunning goal by Maxi Rodríguez in the 98th minute ended Mexico’s World Cup dreams, as they were narrowly defeated 2-1.
Throughout the tournament, Mexico demonstrated tactical discipline and individual brilliance. Players like Rafael Márquez and Oswaldo Sánchez provided leadership and stability, while attackers like Omar Bravo and Francisco Fonseca showcased their goal-scoring abilities. The team’s performance, despite the early exit, was commendable and reflected their potential to compete at the highest level.

It all started when we were around 5 or 6 years old…
We would go to school in the day, and then go back home. Then, we’d be out and about for the rest of the day. We were playing football with the rest of the kids from around our home all day.
We were playing for hours, and we never stopped, even if our moms called us to get inside. We would yell “10 more minutes!”, right before spending another two hours on the field.
It didn’t matter whether it was sunny, rainy, or there was a snowstorm. We were still playing, from Spring to Winter, every single day.
And we were wearing the same jerseys you can find on our store. We are more than a jersey company…
We want to help you Relive the Memories Through Old-School Jerseys.
